Description

The role of the Systems Engineer spans both the PreSale and PostSale phases of project activities. It includes having an active role in the development of both large and small project opportunities, creating innovative designs that meet the needs of the customers and implementing solutions that bring value to their clients. The Engineer is expected to multitask among various project assignments, adhere to project schedules and perform within the established project budget. As such, the individual must be proficient in utilizing sound systems engineering tools and processes to successfully perform the technical analyses typically encountered when designing wireless communications systems. This role also requires strong communication skills to effectively interface with customers, as well as internal key work partners such as Account Managers, Program Managers, Contracts Personnel, Proposal Center Analysts, and Product Group representatives. Designs, develops and implements product applications for customers on a project or contract basis. Responsible for technical systems support from pre-sale through post sale implementation and customer satisfaction for various sized communication systems.

SKILLS:

Must have a Bachelor Degree or higher in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent technical experience. 3-5 years experience designing and implementing Telephony and E911 systems is a must. 3-5 years experience designing and implementing two way radio wireless communication systems is a must. Experienced with conducting and gathering data on site walks is a must. Attention to detail, good oral, written and presentation skills is a must. Knowledge and experience of IT networks and networking fundamentals. N+ and S+ highly desirable.
