Description
Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the Contractor's safety, health, and environmental compliance of the OCIP Safety Standards.- Attend weekly Owners and Contractors progress meeting, and provide detailed updates regarding health & safety issues.
- Reporting these findings to the Owners representative, and other owner personnel to ensure they are informed and involved in the safety program.
- Compile, follow-up, and maintain safety performance statistics for the project.
- Keep appraised of new regulations and developments to assist in keeping the safety policies and procedures current and effective.
- Conduct daily job site safety surveys of Contractors and Subcontractors activities to observe safety performance, make recommendations and document non-compliance items.
- Document non-compliance items, recommendations, and or comments and submit copies of completed forms to Owners, Owners Representative and controlling Contractors.
- Review and communicate methods and procedures to the Contractor's Safety Representative, Owners Representative to foster the highest level of incident prevention performance possible.
- Provide special consulting to the Owner Representative, Contractor and Subcontractor's regarding problems and challenges that may arise on the project.
- Review all Contractor incident investigation reports to ensure thorough investigations were conducted and controls instituted to prevent future incidents.
Safety Requirements:
- 3-5 year's construction safety or related experience
- Minimum requirements - Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST)
- Has completed an OSHA 30 hour class
- Pass an extensive security and background check
