Senior Oracle DBA and RAC Specialist - Spread Betting - London

Senior Oracle DBA is required by a global tier one bank to join their EMEA DBA team based inSheffield. This role which has become available due to increased workload is offered on the basis of a short term contract, based inSheffieldat the day rate of £350 to £450 per day.

It is essential that this Senior Oracle DBA can hit the ground running, so previous experience within financial services is a must (large banks, 24/7 trading platforms, F/X companies), you must also be available to start a full time contract at the beginning of November. On top of this, experience with RAC, RMAN and Dataguard would be beneficial.

As the Oracle DBA you will be responsible for Oracle patching and performance tuning of the database with a primary focus on investigating, resolving, and documenting database performance improvements across the database, operating system, storage, and network.

Essential Technical Skills:
  • Oracle DBA
  • Strong working knowledge of RAC
  • Strong working knowledge of Rman and Dataguard
  • Extensive knowledge and experience within Finance sector

  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Highly motivated and ambitious
  • Team player
