Description
We are looking for a GIS Developer to work at our multinational client in Stockholm/Sweden.
Expected tasks and deliverables by the Consultant
- Contribute to system development and update the in-house Enterprise GIS.
- GIS software development activities (save mapping session functionality, attribute table editing functionality, improve storing, search & discover functionalities)
- Develop add-ins and widgets to retrieve and map data fetched by other in-house systems
- Development support for SharePoint and Silverlight tools
- Write appropriate technical documentation for the assigned software development tasks.
- Support the software testing and deployment.
Education and work experience:
- University degree with minimum 4 years experience in IT,
- Strong knowledge of Web Feature Services (WFS), Web Map Services (WMS), Shapefile
- Excellent knowledge of ArcGIS API for JavaScript, ArcGIS Server 10
- Experience in software architecture design, implementation and systems integration
- Proven experience in developing Enterprise GIS solutions
- Experience with SharePoint (MOSS 2010) and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Experience in agile development methods, including Test Driven Development
- Strong knowledge of data classification/summarisation algorithms for GIS and implementations
- Programming in .NET Framework 3.5 (VB.NET, JavaScript, ASP.NET, EF) and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience in the development of web GIS applications and Public Health
- Extensive experience in developing SOAP/REST web services
- Very good command of English; oral and written
