TITLE: Instructional Designer
Work Location: Perimeter area - Atlanta
2 openings (3-5 months)
Pay rate up to $55/hr DOE

Summary - Review/evaluate course materials already in place for SAP training for different groups  (Order to Cash, Supply Chain, MDM, etc.) and update, upgrade and possibly rewrite for new implementations

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:  

The Instructional Designer is a member of the Learning & Organization Development Shared Services team for global business process design and SAP implementation.

The Instructional Designer will work with subject matter experts to identify training needs and appropriate strategies for meeting those needs.  This will require the Instructional Designer to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate technical business process and system training materials. Using standard ISD processes, templates, models, and guidelines, he/she will review and edit draft training materials for instructor-led delivery to ensure they are clearly written and instructionally sound. Contractors will use standard templates and models to create or revise web-based, or distance learning delivery.  

A portion of time may be spent creating innovative solutions via various web-based development tools.  This role may also develop training simulations and online help using various performance support systems.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Design, develop, and author appropriate business process and systems training programs including instructor-led and E-learning courses.
- Review and edit draft training materials created by subject matter experts to ensure the materials are instructionally sound, follow project template, and meet quality standards.
- Interview subject matter experts to collect necessary data, raw content and custom information necessary to design training programs and define desired learning outcomes.
- Design courseware that enables the student to achieve the stated outcomes, including appropriate assessment of student achievement.
- Design, develop, revise, or document custom training materials including course descriptions, manuals, quick reference guides, presentations, job aids, online modules, and printed training guides.
- Develop multiple deliverables in a deadline-intensive environment.
- Interact with user groups to address business needs and process improvement in the development of courses that meet internal and external customer needs.
- Communicate frequently and effectively with various project collaborators to ensure that goals and objectives are being fulfilled.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design or related field required
- A minimum of 7 years instructional design experience (business process/system training, some ERP preferred, particularly SAP)
- Knowledge of training material development support tools such as: Adobe Flash, Captivate, Articulate, UPerform and Dreamweaver
- Experience in the development and production of E-learning courseware
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills with PowerPoint expertise (Office 2010 preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Track record demonstrating ability to execute initiatives in a timely manner
- Project management skills and experience working on and delivering multiple initiatives
- Experience in curriculum design, content development and training best practices
- Complex problem-solving skills
