My client based in the North West are currently looking for an experienced PHP developer to join a team on a contract basis who has knowledge of ecommerce, relishes a challenge and problem-solving and can work closely with designers to deliver exciting and innovative projects.The successful PHP Developer will be heavily involved in working on websites for clients in both national and international markets, including large ecommerce sites built on our own proprietary ecommerce platform.
It is essential that the PHP Developer has excellent PHP knowledge as well as the following;
Required Skills:
- Developing in a LAMP environment.
- OOP / MVC frameworks
- PHP 5.3 / MySQL / PhpMyAdmin
- HTML(5) / CSS(3) / JQuery / JavaScript / CKEditor
- XML/RESTful/SOAP/web services
- SVN / GIT
- CMS development experience i.e. Expression Engine / Hero Framework / Word Press
Ideally you will also have these skills:
- Development team leader experience
- Ecommerce websites in Magneto / Lemon Stand etc
- Mobileoptimised websites (Smartphone's / Tablets)
- Unit testing / documentation
- Exposure to AMAZON / GOOGLE APIs i.e. MWS
- CPanel / Apache / SSL certificates / SSH
- MYSQL workbench / database design
A good eye for detail is essential as is experience of working in a digital agency environment and be able to provide examples of URL's to showcase your skills.
Responsibilities:
You will be lead developer working on a range of high profile, consumer orientated PHP websites for both UKand International clients.
Developing cross browser and mobile compatible web sites you will be focused on providing A grade solutions to clients, requiring you to use the full range of responsive web skills at your disposal. You will have the ability to develop high quality ecommerce, content and order management systems for our clients.
