Vendor Delivery Manager - Reston, Virginia - Data Center, POPs, Space, Power, SQL Scripting, DWDM
Key Skills:
- Strong project management skills to serve as primary vendor contact for the delivery of space, power, HVAC, racks and inside plant for new builds and expansion of existing sites
- Strong understanding of interconnectivity requirements within carrier hotels
- Strong skills in development of Statements of Work (SOW), MOPs and handover packages
- Experience with Microsoft Project, creating and modifying Visio drawings and strong experience in Excel and SQL Scripting
- Good understanding of DWDM, SONET/SDH
- Hands on background in fiber cleaning procedures, radius bend and fiber running procedures
About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Vendor Delivery/Project Manager to work on exciting projects which will involve planning, facilitating and managing expansion work in Data Centers and POPs. The successful applicant will have the benefit of working in a long-term contract alongside a technical negotiation team to understand terms of existing and new contracts and arrangements including delivery targets and specific technical requirements related to space, power, cooling and rack build outs, OSP, ISP. You will need to ensure target completion dates are communicated and that all internal requirements are being met in a timely manner.
