Description
The contract is with a consultancy to be on assignment at a large European site in central Brussels as follows:-
Generic task description:
To assist the organization in the follow up and co-ordination of Technical related matters, acting as a facilitator to converge all efforts towards the project's objectives; To translate functional requirements into technical requirements; To review the quality and conformance of the technical deliverables (specification, software, documentation) and services; To follow up of the Operations; To issue task specifications; To enforce timetable and planning; To clarify issues and prevent potential problems; To act as the guardian of the Service Level Agreements.
Experience and capacity required:
Must have minimum of 6 to 10 years recent experience and an appropriate knowledge of the current state of the art technical evolution; Familiarity with IT projects, preferably in the field of Customs and Taxation business; Appropriate experience in at least 2 of the following domains on large projects: system analysis/design, system development, system specification, development life cycle, Software testing, operations, telecommunications networking and quality assurance; Good communication skills, team worker, rapid self-starting capability and ability to work autonomously are mandatory; Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication in front of large audience, experience in international/multicultural environment and public administration are assets; Additional desirable assets: experience in implementation and enforcing of Service Level Agreements (SLA's), experience as a technical writer.
Systems specific:
Knowledge of the message oriented architecture in general and of the J2EE architecture in particular; Knowledge of UML; Knowledge of XML and related standards; Experience in development, testing and acceptance cycles; Experience in the field of technical documents review against technical specifications; Quality oriented, pragmatic while methodic.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE of IBM Rational Suite and TUXEDO
