WAN Network Engineer
3-6 month contract
Up to €60 per hour
Near Antwerp, Belgium
Our client, a global international leader in their industry, are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team on site in Belgium assisting within their network delivery department responsible for their WAN & LAN infrastructure at our client sites across the globe. As the Network Engineer you will network architecture and device configurations are adhered to by our clients global network partner. In addition, the network engineer will interface with the other groups to address any issues in order to complete the request or project in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities:
*translate business needs into technical requirements
*work with our suppliers and vendors to execute these requirements
* responsible for ordering (circuit, hardware and software) for these projects and RFS's assigned
*will ensure that security and quality (QA) requirements are met, will ensure that project delivery is done on schedule and within budget following appropriate IM methodologies and standards.
Qualifications:
*He worked before a global organization and has good communication skills
*good knowledge of spoken and written English is required
*Is a team player, has good communication skills.
*A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required and minimum 3+ years of broad IT infrastructure (network) experience, preferably in a large global organization is required.
*Very good technical expertise in networking ( routing/switching), with hands-on experience (Cisco Routers, catalyst and Nexus Switches, Juniper, F5 LTM and APM devices, Riverbed Steelhead appliances, ) in delivering network services for clients in various network architectures and in different parts of the world.
*Vendor certification is a plus, although proven experience in a network group for a large multinational company is equally important.
*Experience in a regulated organization, preferably healthcare, where change management, formal procedures and policies, documentation and security are part of the IT culture is a plus..
*Apply knowledge of industry and competitive environment in all facets of daily job functions.
*Knowledge of ITIL framework- certifications is a plus.
