Required Consultant Skills, Knowledge, Abilities (Minimum):
Microsoft Exchange Expert - specifically Exchange 2010 & 2013
Strong experience with E-mail Archiving solutions
Strong experience with Windows Server Operating Systems
Strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory
Microsoft Exchange Certification (2010 or 2013)
Microsoft Certification - MCITP (2008) or MSCE (2003 or 2012)
Preferred Consultant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with E-mail archiving solutions - specifically Symantec Enterprise Vault and EMC SourceOne
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Microsoft DirSync, Symantec CloudLink
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and customer staff
Ability to maintain professional working relationships with customers and staff
Experience installing and configuring operating systems and application software
Experience debugging software and troubleshooting application issues
Government project experience
Knowledge of project and process management concepts
ITIL certification and experience working within ITIL-based Change Management
Overview
This position will require expertise in the architect design and installation of Microsoft Exchange 2013, e-mail archive, and Active Directory. Experience and expertise in Microsoft ADFS and Microsoft DirSync is also highly beneficial.
Project includes, but is not limited to, the architectural design and upgrade of an existing Microsoft Exchange 2010 environment to Microsoft 2013. The consultant must possess and maintain strong administrative and application management experience in these support areas, shall have strong analytical skills, shall have strong customer service skills, and shall have experience working with technical and business area experts. Position may have to work after hours based on maintenance windows, as well as emergency issue handling.
Task Description:
I. Architecture design and implementation of new Exchange 2013 environment.
II. Migration from Exchange 2010 Environment to Exchange 2013 environment.
III. Architecture design and implementation of new e-mail archiving environments.
IV. Migration to new e-mail archiving environments.
V. Administration of Exchange & Archive Environments.
VI. Cross-training/Knowledge Transfer with SSRC staff.
VII. Create complete and accurate project, system, application, and security documentation as required.
VIII. Develop timelines as requested.
IX. Evaluate and recommend improvements to SSRC (and customer) systems, system tools, and/or processes as needed.
X. Other tasks as directed by Platform Manager.
