Description
Duties and Responsibilities- Files, retrieves, creates and maintains geological/geophysical data including 2D & 3D seismic trace data
- Loads and updates well data and well locations in existing databases using appropriate software Provides routine support duties in all exploration functions including creation of topographical maps, lease maps, industry activity maps, PowerPoint slides, montages, charts and reports as required
- Generates and compiles information required for government regulatory compliance
- Maintains company geophysical/geological databases, file systems and records archives
- Helps maintain monthly subscriptions, maintenance agreements, license agreements, scout information and data releases as required
- Prepares support documentation for portfolio presentations
- Provides routine maintenance and re-supply of appropriate equipment as required
- Update wells and well files when Geotech is out of the office
- IHS/Enerdeq/Drillinginfo (working knowledge)
- Provide user support various software packages when able
- High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
- Five or more years work experience required or college degree with three years oil & gas experience
- Proficient with SMT
- Excellent analytical & mathematical skills
- Excellent knowledge of standard geological/geophysical displays and well logs
- Excellent knowledge of specific software systems, terminology and procedures
- Data loading (seismic and well data would be valuable )
