Proteus Europe, operating as an employment agency, is seeking an experienced and talented IT Manager to work on a permanent basis in Basildon, Essex. Our client, a leading corporation is looking for a IT Manager to join their established team.As IT Manager your primary role will be to oversee the accurate and timely delivery to Production and UAT of Fast Track development changes. Job specific responsibilities:Managing across a team of onshore and offshore analyst programmers specialising in Vision Plus.
Providing technical Vision Plus direction.
Code reviews of Vision Plus change and Production implementation approval and responsibility.
Responsible for setting up the team yearly objectives using First Dialogues system & managing the day to day HR & personnel issues, holidays & daily workload.
Responsible for managing yearly compensation/bonus/merit increases for all the permanent
employees in the team.
Review third party "resource supplier" weekly performance on incidents/defects, provide feedback
ensure the team is working within the agreed OLAS & allocated budget.
Review weekly timesheets for all the resources (permanent & contractors) & provide approval.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:
Significant in depth experience of the Vision Plus application in a senior design and development role within the cards industry
PRINCE2 & ITIL Certification is advantageous
Expert Vision Plus programming skills and proficiency with IBM mainframe platform technologies
Understanding of Software Design and Development Methodology techniques
Strong analytical skills involving the Vision Plus product
Experience of working in large high availability production support environments supporting the
Vision Plus application
Experience of working in Onsite-Offshore model
Ability to build partnerships with stakeholders and global colleagues
IT management experience of Vision Plus development teams
Must be able to give strong guidance to other designers
Must have strong understanding of Vision Plus design concepts
Must have extensive experience in writing Vision Plus FSD's and TSD's
Must have strong technical writing skills
