My client is currently seeking an consultant heavily experienced in the selection, design, installation, commissioning, startup and operation of subsea production systems.

This would include a broad range of knowledge and experience in all or most of the following areas: Well systems, subsea production equipment/systems, umbilical systems, flowline systems, riser systems, Host facilities, subsea architecture development, system hydraulics and flow assurance analyses, flow assurance mitigation methods, P&ID development, risk analysis, interface management, installation, commissioning, startup and operability.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Marine/Ocean Engineering, Structural, Civil or Chemical discipline from accredited college or university or equivalent.
Advanced degree a plus.
Registration with the Texas State Board of Professional Engineers is preferred. Some travel may be required.
Must be able to function with minimum supervision.

Previous Experience

10+ years of relative experience.

Candidate will be expected to assume a leadership role on a major subsea development projects
Candidate must be able to able to plan and manage the execution of engineering activities during all phases of a subsea engineering project (Pre-FEED, FEED, and Execute).
Some project management experience/training is desirable.
Candidate is also expected to be able to mentor/ guide inexperienced/junior engineers.
Candidate shall also be capable of conducting technical evaluations and making recommendations to clients.
Actual offshore installation and commissioning/startup experience is a plus.
Engineers with background from subsea production system manufacturing companies, offshore installation companies, subsea consultancies or subsea contracting companies are possible candidates.
