Hiring Manager Comments:
- This role is within Information Security Team, however Info security experience would be preferred and not mandatory.
- Need a blended background of both application development and infrastructure project management experience.
- Consultant will have a variety of priorities, they may work on 2-5 large scale projects but won't be the same way all of the time, more realistically we will work on lots of concurrent projects. This role needs a highly organized TAKE CHARGE kind of person.
- Someone that has worked on formal methodologies. Currently most of what we deliver for PCI Compliance is more waterfall but he would like someone that has worked with Agile so that they can better engage on the Agile projects, which is what they are seeing a lot.
- Not a lot of people have ChangePoint experience but this is something they will need to get up to speed with, they need MS Project, Word and Excel.

Job Title: Information Systems - Consultant, Project Management
Job Overview:
- For this Project Management role inside Information Security the primary responsibilities include overall accountability and leadership for successful completion of Information Security deliverables as well as satisfying the intended business results.
- Responsible for managing relationships and communicating with the primary project manager as well as identifying key barriers and constraints to our successful participation.
Major Accountability:
- Provide leadership and oversight on various projects of a medium to complex nature.
- These will be a mix of both application development and infrastructure projects.
- Responsible for planning, developing, and executing schedules to ensure timely completion of Information Security deliverable in support of the broader project milestones.
- Effectively and consistently deliver projects that advance our business capabilities and provide operational excellence.
- Projects are delivered using a consistent set of artifacts and deliverables.
- Demonstrate comprehensive Financial Leadership for projects you manage resulting in an overall estimate accuracy of +/- 10%.
- Capture and report budget and forecast data on a monthly basis for project status reports and executive summaries.
- Ensure that there are consistent key artifacts across the projects you manage:
- Utilize the Info Security estimate template for all projects
- Estimate Summary for internal projects
- Project plan developed and maintained in the project repository
- Regularly communicates to senior management regarding the status of specific project deliverable.
- Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards or plans in support of the business.
- Effectively lead the project team to align with the business objectives, project schedule, and project budget.
- Effectively deal with difficult situations. Help develop solutions to complex problems.
- The work load is heavy with a strong PM handling 1-2 larger efforts and 15-20 small to medium efforts.
- Experience specific to Information Security a plus but not a hard requirement.
- The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing application development and infrastructure projects.
Education:
Bachelor`s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Advanced knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the areas of strategy, planning and project management required processes and techniques.
- 5 to 8 years of experience with structured methodology and project planning tools.
- Knowledge of MasterCard and the payments industry preferred.
