A rapidly growing oncology firm in the San Francisco Bay Area is looking to hire a Senior Lead Biostatistician. The position holder will oversee statistical aspects of assigned projects and provide support in study design, statistical analysis and reporting of data.

Responsibilities will include planning, organizing, coordinating and reviewing activities of biostatistics activities for assigned projects and coordinating activities within biometrics to ensure timeliness and quality of project deliverables. This position will report directly to the Director, Biostatistics is onsite and permanent.

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following:

- Responsible for statistical aspects of assigned projects, including experimental design, protocol development, sample size estimation, patient randomization, case report form design, statistical analyses and presentation of data, with sufficient guidance

- Ensure that project-related biostatistics and programming work is carried out in a timely and compliant manner

- Conduct statistical analyses and interpret results of analyses for assigned studies

- Assist data management staff in the design of study databases; review study database structures and data management project conventions as needed

- Develop statistical analysis plans, including the definitions of derived variables, the structure and content of analysis datasets, statistical analyses and the design of templates for statistical tables, figures and listings for clinical study reports

Education:

- PhD in statistics preferred

- M.S. in statistics, biostatistics, or related field with 0-2 (PhD) - 1-3 (M.S.) years of experience as a project biostatistician in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry or medical research
