Financial Crime Advisor (KYC) - Corporate & Investment Bank - London

A leading Corporate & Investment Bank inLondonis seeking a KYC Advisor to be responsible for Enhanced Due Diligence on High Risk transactions and provide direct support to the Financial Crime Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Crime, you will be responsible for fulfilling key objectives for the regulators, ensuring effective controls and procedures are in place.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop a KYC programme and procedures;
  • Manage and monitor KYC Testing and deliver effective AML Training;
  • Identify KYC requirements for the take on of high risk clients or those with Financial Crime triggers;
  • Good understanding ofUKand International KYC requirements;
  • The role requires involvement, as required, in assisting the Financial Crime Department to fulfil all of its legal and regulatory obligations in theUK;
  • Maintain high standards and provide good and clear advise to employees and senior management;
  • Review high risk clients for and on behalf of the Bank
  • Liaise with counterparts within group on relation to maters concerning KYC and enhanced due diligence;
  • Undertake quality assurance testing for files not seen by Financial Crime;
  • Escalate identified high risk activity to the appropriate committees and to senior management;
  • Write Financial Security Opinions based on findings from assessments of KIWIS (KYC system) files or other requests;
  • Develop & write procedures relevant to KYC and enhanced due diligence;
  • Identify and deliver appropriate Training & Awareness related to KYC and enhanced due diligence as well as producing KPI as and when required;
  • Undertake KYC Reviews of an existing client base;
  • Assist in providing Management Information to senior managers and appropriate committees;
  • Giving of ad hoc advice in regards to KYC requirements;
  • Participation in ad hoc committees including the Account Opening Committee.
  • Authorise and maintain register of Fast Flow applications;
  • Authorise and maintain register of Pre Dealing without the KYC being in place;
  • Transaction monitoring and trade reconciliation with counterparty risk for pre dealing and where the counterparty is not known;


Requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of UK KYC requirements. An understanding of the requirements within the EU Money Laundering Directive's, its influence on the UK Money Laundering Regulations 2007 and the practical application of the 2009 Joint Money Laundering Steering Group guidance.
  • Ability to manage at a senior level.


Salary - £50,000 to £60,000 (+ highly competitive package)
