Our client, a global giant in their industry, is seeking to appoint an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join one of their project teams onsite in Mortsel. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking for their next contracting career for 6 months; however our client holds a long history of high contract extension rates and offer competitive salary rates for the right Software Engineer for the job.
Key Skills/experience/qualifications Essentials
*degree : experienced bachelor or master +5yrs in computer/electronics engineering
*development using C/C++
*RT, multi-threading awareness while developing the application - experience score
*LINUX OS knowledge (example: Ubuntu, Fedora, buildroot) - experience score:
*affinity/interest wrt. equipment/technology in general, some interest (motor control, sensor output manipulations, integration, overview on a system level) - experience code
*measuring, being able to measure what you have programmed (scope, dig. measuring device): experience score
*overall knowledge wrt. electronics, digital(/analogue) I/O, reading component specs: experience score (must)
Advantageous
*hands on experience with ARM-based ATMEL processing devices is a serious plus - drivers/build environment
*hands on experience with FPGA based micro-blaze processors (Xilinx soft cores, EDK) =
*some hands-on knowledge of .NET 4.x is a plus (support tools, Front End testing) -
*attitude: professional; extrovert; team player, communicative, reliable; can speak, read and write English; able to deliver professional documentation (must)
*overall role: analysis, development, testing, integration, documentation, on-machine debugging, communicating
language: Preferred Dutch Speaker, alternatively fluent English
