An Investment bank in Chicago is seeking a full-time Senior IT Project Manager to join their newly formed PMO. The project manager will work on a multitude of projects over multiple lines of business. This position will also have the responsibility to develop processes and have input in the direction of the PMO. This position will be located in downtown Chicago.This is a high visibility position and strong communication skills are required. Ideal candidates will have 8 years of Project Management experience and a financial background, specifically within investment banking and wealth management. This project also offers the opportunity to get in at ground level and truly have an input on the future of the group.
As Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Working with various teams and groups across several departments
- Overseeing the enhancement and new development of multiple financial applications
- Budgeting and forecasting multiple development projects
- Road mapping of time management of all development projects
- Demonstrating the value of a PMO to Senior Management
- Working alongside multiple business teams and IT teams
- Oversight of onshore and offshore resources
Qualifications for the role include:
- 5+ years of financial experience
- 8+ years of project management experience
- Proven experience leading PMO efforts
- Previous software development experience and knowledge of the SDLC
- PMP Certification
- Advanced SQL, Microsoft Word and Excel Skills

The Senior Project Manager is a highly strategic role in an innovative Finance organization. You will be ensuring this organization's technology department maintains and improves its competitive edge in the market. The compensation range will be between 120K - 150K on the base with a performance bonus between 20-30% annually.
