Senior Desktop Deployment Engineer

Our client, a global leader in their industry, is seeking to appoint a senior desktop deployment engineer to one of their current project teams on client site in Beerse, Belgium. As the Senior desktop deployment engineer you will be responsible for managing the change and release activities related to the deployment of new services into the enterprise.
Responsibilities/Principal Duties:
* Managing the release of a new service or component. The candidate is responsible for executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI), and Job References (Ref).
* Responsible for troubleshooting complex PC deployment issues as escalated during implementation and must be able to identify the required resources to expedite fixing related problems.
* Responsible to interface with the Project teams to ensure proper functioning of all aspects of this solution as well as ensure the integrity of systems and application.
* Responsible for the day today deployment activities, including the managing change requests, creating reports and following up on issues.
* Attend/represent team on all project meetings and training sessions. Document findings, outcomes,
Collaborating and partnering with the associated vendors responsible for the HDE solution.
* Work effectively as part of a team and with virtual teams including diverse groups of people with varied background.
Education/Experience:
* BA/BS or 5+ years of experience managing and supporting the release of new technologies in a large scale enterprise.
* ITIL v3 experience/certification
* Strong knowledge and experience regarding the administration and support of Windows Operating Systems (Windows 7, Windows XP, Vista,) and Windows-based laptop hardware, predominantly Lenovo.
* Strong Knowledge and experience with hard drive encryption technologies, including WinMagic Secure Doc
* Experience with SCCM, SQL Queries and related technologies
* Change Management with experience in Service Now or related tools.
* Must demonstrate application experience with the ability to learn new technologies with strong technical and problem solving abilities.
* Must have some networking experience, and be able to articulate the relationship between the systems, the applications and the network, as applicable.
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to complex projects, priorities and multiple tasks is required.
* Possessing the credibility and presence to act as subject matter inspections is required.
* Strong communication, influencing, presentation skills, collaboration and teaming skills are required.
* Must have the ability to influence others and mange tasks with limited direct authority.
