for an ORACLE Designer and Developer for ETL Processes

Project environment

A Swiss Private Bank has a project, which includes ETL process development, maintenance and the extension of an existing Oracle database.

Tasks

• Supervise existing regular ETL processes.
• Reverse/Re-engineer existing processes.
• Design and implement new processes, including DB definition, transition management, and documentation and decommissioning.
• Parameter and enhance reporting and distribution processes.
• Check and implement data object and coding standards within the team and among different project schemas.

Requirements

• Windows Server Environment, especially processes and automation knowledge is preferable.
• A high grade practitioner is expected.
• German an English spoken and written skills are necessary.

Technical skills

• Oracle expert skills in SQL and PL/SQL coding; DBA Administration knowledge is NOT essential, however.
• DB design, with a pragmatic approach.
• Ability to rapidly understand a highly complex business environment.
• Excellent communication with colleagues with similar skills (not end users, however).
• Skills in documentation.

Soft skills

• Willing to adapt to a technical environment which is weakly standardized, and to find pragmatic solutions in an environment, which is dominated by unchangeable legacy data contents.
• Capable of finding the middle path between pragmatic approach and formal standards.
• Good social contact, stress tolerant.
