Description
Responsibilities:- Owner of all aspects of materials management in support of prototype product builds
- Support engineers in the sourcing of materials
- Lead the execution and processing of purchase requisitions for materials
- Coordinate and manage the material receipt of materials
- Support engineers in the review and assessment of alternate component options
- Lead the supplier coordination activities associated with prototype builds at contract manufacturer
- Negotiation skills in defining and managing contractual and critical service level agreements
- Undaunting commitment to delivery of defined engineering prototype materials and product
- Master innovator in finding solutions to unique and obscure disruptions to continuity of supply.
- Work closely with Project Managers with regards to costing of prototype builds
- Define and manage business processes associated with supply base / programs and finance teams
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree in business or technical discipline is preferred
- 5+ years experience in supply chain management, product development, component sourcing role
- Experience working within contract manufacturing environment
- Nimble and resourceful in use of caffeine and sugar to empower self and others
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate (MS Office tools)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- ISM and/or APICS involvement preferred
- Lean manufacturing experience in both high /low mix models
