We seek a seasoned IT Manager for a major television network for a contract to hire position in Los Angeles, CA. Do you have application development team management experience in the cable, broadcast network and/or entertainment industries? Do you have excellent communication skills and easily build rapport and respect with stake holders? As Sr Manager you will plan, design and assist in the development, testing and launch of efficient business, financial and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. Required Skills:
- 10 years of IT leadership experience
- 5 years of experience managing application development teams (Microsoft technologies - .NET, SQL, etc)
- Experience in the cable/broadcast network industry
- Experience working with business users to define systems that lead to increased efficiency and productivity
- Familiarity with various software development processes: Waterfall, UML, RUP, Agile, Extreme, and their areas of application.
- Experience managing large (matrixed) teams across multiple, long term efforts
- Experience with Products and Rights systems, Sales systems, and AR systems
