CMDB Engineer Needed in Virginia Beach, VA
Requirements:
- Must have relevant hands-on CA CMDB experience
- Must have CA CMDB certification/course completion.
- Must have expert, hands-on, working knowledge of the CA CMDB product suite and Service Desk, CCA, BOXI reporting, Enterprise Entity Management - EEM
Responsible for:
- The design, development, and implementation of CMDB system enhancements and updates
- Translating business requirements into technical designs; developing associated documentation
- Gathering, populating, and maintaining CMDB data from trusted data sources, and ensuring data quality within the Configuration Management System
- Developing "as built" documentation
- Developing run books, and end user documentation; conducting training sessions
- Maintaining the configuration management database (CMDB)
- Facilitating the definition and registration of configuration items (CIs) and the appropriate level of attributes and relationships required to support change management, incident and problem management processes
- Reconciliation of data when exceptions are noted between CMDB, discovery information, change management, and other authoritative production data repositories
- Perform activities relating to identification, control, and tracking of designated systems/equipment/software components and related documentation in accordance with configuration management policies
- Work with service owners at key life cycle checkpoints to align new services with production requirements, and gather CI data for service transition
