A well established organisation based in the CBD with a strong reputation for delivering some of the most complex and major IT projects in the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for application server platforms including JBoss EAP 5/6 and tomcat
- Manage the availability and integrity of middleware environments. Help develop operational systems and procedures to support and monitor services.
- Assist with the infrastructure design and build of secure and scalable middleware platforms to support multiple large-scale projects
- Assist development teams to resolve build and deployment issues in a Java EE environment
- Assist application support teams troubleshooting technical issues.
- Demonstrated experience in large complex IT environments
- Proven background bridging JEE application development and operations support
- Good technical skills across all application layers including networks, servers, directories and databases.
- Experience with application monitoring and trouble shooting performance issues
- Experience with developer build tools including maven, version control systems and build servers
- Experience with scripting languages eg, Groovy, Shell, Perl etc. and process automation
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals as applied to load balancing
- Strong Linux experience.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with a diverse range of projects
