An exciting global, research-based pharmaceutical firm with a strong pipeline in the Bay Area is looking to hire a Principal Statistical Analyst that shares this company's passion for the industry. The primary job function of the position holder will be to provide statistical programming support for multiple clinical or therapeutic areas and to provide performance management for 0-5 statistical programmers. The most competitive applicants will have extensive experience in the early phases of Clinical Trials.Detailed Responsibilities:
- Ensure internal consistency of output and assess consistency with other activities for the project, as applicable
- Demonstrate extensive understanding of SAS programming concepts and techniques appropriate to the pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrate proficiency in applying SAS programming knowledge to solve problems related to non-routine situations
- Leads effort to determine project standards related to output design and statistical programming conventions and independently ensure they are appropriate to support project objectives
- Ensure all SAS programs are imported into the archive system prior to the creation of final output
- Ensure all programs are formally archived after the completion of the regulated activity
- Review for consistency across studies within a project, assist with developing global CRF and database standards and database quality assurance
- Responsible for the creation and accuracy of derivation programs for routine and non-routine situations
Applicant Requirements:
- Masters in Statistics and 5-7 years relevant industry experience
- Early phase experience within Clinical Trials
- Oncology experience (preferred)
