C++ Software Developer - Sheffield- £30,000 - £37,000

An experienced and highly technical C++ developer is now required to join a very well established company in their head office in Sheffield. This role has come about due to continual growth, the recent purchase of a second software company in the US and existing clients requirements increasing.

The company themselves have a highly complex scheduling product along with multiple 'add on' features including mobile enhancements.

With the company having phenomenal success of late they are now looking at how they can move into using more cutting edge technologies and welcome a developer who can bring and share their own thoughts and experiences in how to push things forward!

The successful candidate will have worked in software development role for a number of years and will have a solid background in C++. You will be working on a highly complex product. You will be expected to employ excellent OOD skills to maintain the architectural and design integrity of the software and will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance and development of this complex, multiprocess, multi-threaded scheduling server.

The successful candidate will be part of a team working on a day-to-day basis using the Scrum Agile software development framework.

Essential Skills:

- C++
- Database Knowledge (ideally SQL or Oracle)

Desirable Skills:

- Java
- Agile
- Unit Testing
- MS Window, Solaris, HR-UX
- Agile software development process
- TCP / IP
- Perl or other scripting languages
