QA for Business intelligence - Warrington - 6 Months

As a quality assurance analyst in the BI team, you will be expected to assure the quality of business intelligence solutions for health and social care. The role will encompasses testing all aspects of the Business Intelligence product including the data warehouse, SQL, Reporting Services, Analytics and commissioning functionality. The role will be working as part of Agile teams working alongside Business Intelligence Developers.

Responsibilities:
- Execution of test scripts, recording outcome of tests, raising and escalation of defects and identified opportunities for product improvement
- Reporting the testing activities, and reporting status of test case execution and bug status
- Liaising with other software testers and implementation staff to facilitate testing
- Liaising with members of the development team in order to provide QA feedback and over specific test outcomes e.g. for exploration and resolution of defects identified
- Creation and maintenance of suitable test environments for all software testing to take place

Essential Experience
- 5 to 7 years relevant work experience in Quality Assurance, Data Warehousing / BI Testing and / or data analytics.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL Server (complex joins, data modeling, data mapping, PL/SQL development skills are required)
- Knowledge of relational and, dimensional data models
- Knowledge of Software testing processes and automated tools, with an ability to apply software testing methods and techniques in a BI environment.
