My client is looking for a Software Engineer join on an initial 6 month contract.

You must be able to demonstrate a track record of instrumentation or scientific software architecture design.

The Role:

- Software Engineer
- Design, implementation and test of networking applications in C++ code on embedded real-time systems

- Maintenance of communications protocols and the addition of new functionality

- Development of Web- and PC-based tools for production support and customer use

Required:

- C/C++

- Embedded Linux

- TCP & UDP via sockets API

- SNMP, TL1 and other secure protocols for management of telecommunications network infrastructure

- Experience of complete design cycle from requirements capture through to release and maintenance, including configuration management

Desirable:

- Familiarity with OMAP L-1x processors would be an advantage
