SAP Data Services Consultants in Singapore
We are looking for SAP Historical DM Business Objects - Data Service Consultants in Singapore.
Planned Start Date: 15 November 2013, Start Date Flexible
Planned End Date: 30 April 2014
Duration: 5 Months
Major duties and responsibilities are listed below:
- Coordinate with Oracle Techno/Functional consultant to extract Legacy system data as per blueprint design.
- Prepare technical mapping document for translating business logic in the functional specification to technical mapping rules.
- Coordinate with Oracle Techno/Functional consultant and prepare reconciliation reports between extracted data from Legacy system and transformed data (before loading to BW/ECC).
- Design and build ETL jobs using Business Objects Data Services.
- Flag out those data that do not fit into the business logic stated in the functional specification for manual data cleansing by the users.
- Testing Business Object Data Services (BODS) Jobs, participate in Trial Data Conversions, Cutover and Go-Live.
- Responsible for complying with the program standards, processes and technical standards defined for the project.
- Perform the following key development activities:
- Recommend and implement industry best practices to improve historical data migration processes.
- Design, document and develop SAP Business Objects Data Services jobs and ensure the developed programs fulfil the business requirements.
- Plan, identify, define and conduct unit testing to ensure the proposed solution fulfils the business data requirements as per designed.
- Provide technical support to SAP Functional Consultants during system integration testing, implementing code changes, if required.
- Conduct peer code reviews as specified according to project standards.
- Deliver all project documentations defined for the project scope of work.
- Provide on-site support after system go-live.
- Troubleshoot any problems reported before and after go-live.
- Ensure the quality of the deliverables.
- Participate in historical DM related quality assurance activities and resolve any risks or areas for improvement identified.
- Perform historical DM related risk management which includes identification provide mitigation solutions and management for risks.
- Participate in the change request process which includes performing impact assessment, development and testing.
- Responsible for the timely preparation and reporting of progress status updates to the Project Manager and other management.
- Responsible for managing and resolving all historical DM related problems reported and service requests received within the Service Level Agreement during post go-live phase.
Below are the requirements:
- Candidates must be either a Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.
- Education Qualification - The candidates should possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or Equivalent.
- Required Competencies
- Minimum 3 years of SAP Business Objects Data Services experience, preferably with experience in at least 3 such projects.
- Good Communication skills.
- Knowledge of SAP Functional modules will be a plus.
- Some knowledge of Oracle and PL/SQL will be a plus.
- Ability to design, develop and articulate solutions based on business or technical requirements.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, manage timelines and expectations, and produce high quality deliverables
