Assignment description:The Project Engineer will be responsible for all phases of project management from project concept selection, AFE (budget) preparation, managing design, and execution of gas and water system projects, including the following: ensuring corporate requirements and initiatives related to HS&E are incorporated; participating in design and HAZOP / PHA safety reviews; preparing scope of work documents for construction and process equipment tender packages; supporting Supply Chain Management activities; preparing project cost estimates and documentation for AFEs; supporting the preparation of regulatory applications; providing support to field personnel during construction activities; and managing the budgets and schedules for projects.
Competence requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or other engineering discipline; Experience in project engineering within an Exploration and Production operating organization or in an engineering strategic alliance with an E&P firm; General computer skills and proficiency with MS Office software; Proven experience in managing engineering consultants to meet deliverable obligations; Proven ability to resolve design issues; Team player with strong aptitude for multi-tasking; Proactive; Able to work with various disciplines within the organization.
Need to be able to start within 1 week of interview
Preparing cost estimates experience required
AFE experience required
Work with procurement on order and materials
Work with HSE to make sure we have permits, do safety reviews, constructability reviews
Based in Houston noffice with occasional travel to Marcellus
Asset primarily in Ohio in Monroe County
Also some stuff in WV
Travel is approximately 1 week every 4-8 weeks
9/80 schedule or can do 40 hour work week.
Min 5 years exp preferred, but really just looking for people who can roll up their sleeves and get the job done. Onshore experience is required
Engineering background/degree required
