Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning, development, review process and tracking of publications, working closely with internal stakeholders, communication agencies and authors.
  • Ensure the quality and transparency of publications by following publications policy and procedures.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the publication plan to ensure deliverables are met within timeline.
  • Stay up to date on relevant products, monitors and collects scientific competitive intelligence related to publications
  • Manages resources in the development of publications to meet objectives in a cost efficient manner.
  • Provide editorial review of manuscripts, slides, posters as appropriate. Ability to initiate a draft as necessary.
  • Additional responsibilities may include involvement in Medical Information and/or Medical Educational activities as determined by Medical Affairs leadership.


Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Significant experience relevant to publication planning and execution throughout product life cycle.
  • Advanced scientific degree or equivalent required (PhD, MD, PharmD, RN) in clinically relevant area.
  • Minimum of 3 years of publication planning experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory guidances and general publications practices.
  • Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills to ensure that scientific information is communicated accurately.
  • Excellent technical (scientific) editing and writing skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-pace and ever-changing environment a must, as well as the proven track record of working effectively in diverse teams involving multi-functional disciplines.
  • Strong analytical skills necessary to interpret clinical data.
  • Proven ability to develop internal relationships in a highly matrix environment, as well as external relationships with Thought Leaders and industry experts.
  • Knowledgeable in relevant publication tracking program management process and tools.
  • Medical Affairs experience in pre-launch and launch activities of drug product desirable.
