Description
Oracle Database Administrator - 6 month contract - DublinMy Dublin based client requires a skilled and experienced Oracle DBA to provide high level technical decisions, support and advice to maintain defined enterprise service levels in one or more technology domains.
The key responsibilities of this role are
- Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with other staff within the breach to ensure the alignment and integration of operational services, processes and service levels.
- Provide high level technical skills in the analysis of IT system issues and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements.
- Provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery, preferably with the ITIL framework.
- Ensure end to end service delivery for enterprise systems.
- Install, configure, test, optimise, implement and commission enterprise Oracle database infrastructure components in accordance with approved resource capacity allocation plan. Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation and recommendations on the operational performance of the enterprise infrastructure.
Role Requirements
- 5 plus years of Database administration experience
- 7 plus years proficient experience in PL/SQL development
- 5 plus years proficient experience in SQL tuning
- Must have 3 plus years of Shell Scripting experience
- Experience in Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g
- Unix/VMS/MS Operating Systems
- Implementation and performance tuning of RDMS
- Backup and Restore technologies (RMAN)
- Application Server technologies (OAS, WebLogic)
- Oracle Application Express (APEX)
