Our client who are a large application engineering and systems delivery company, combine process know-how with technical knowledge to engineer computer-based solutions for customers' operational needs. Founded in 1971 they have since built a strong reputation as a reliable, high quality supplier and partner.

We now have opportunities for experienced Software Engineers to work on varied software development projects. These innovative and challenging projects are focussed in the logistics and supply chain sectors. You will cover the complete project life-cycle from the earliest requirements and conceptual studies, through system analysis, design and implementation phases, to user training, support and maintenance activities.

Our ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level or higher, coupled with experience in a similar role; this may or may not have been gained during the course of your degree. Knowledge of a range of Software is essential and candidates should have a strong technical and programming background. Experience in Java development frameworks, C and Linux or Unix environments is highly desirable whilst experience with Spring, relational databases and test driven development is beneficial. Good communication skills are essential as successful candidates will be working as a team with both customers and colleagues. In addition strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, a disciplined approach to development and a strong sense of project ownership are all desirable skills.

Candidates must be eligible to work permanently in the UK and preferably hold a full UK driver's license with access to transport. Career progression can be rapid, based on talent and commitment.
