Description
A senior quality manager role has arisen in the Somerset area for a highly successful foundry that is expanding year on year, and requires a new quality manager to manage the following:- Develop, implement and maintain the companies QMS to meet requirements of ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Manage internal auditing activities, using business improvement techniques with 8D methods.
- Act as company representative for Quality System Assessments. Lead and support response reports and action plans as required.
- Support companies scrap reduction activities.
- Co-ordinate the companies health and safety activites, including COSHE.
- Carry out external audits of suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers on product development, problem resolution, etc. Visit them as necessary.
- Report to Managing Director on all matters pertaining to product and service quality.
