On behalf of our client in the Life Science industry, Harvey Nash is looking for a Outsourcing Manager for a 12 month project in Switzerland.

You are responsible for:

  • researching CRO capabilities utilizing in-house and external resources
  • identifying a pool of candidate CROs for project consideration
  • defining the work specifications and preparing requests for proposal
  • managing the competitive bidding process
  • selecting the optimal CRO based upon quality, cost and time factors
  • negotiating contract terms, pricing and payment schedule, ensuring that the agreements with the CRO's are commercially advantageous
  • producing the final contract and securing necessary departmental approvals
  • ensuring adherence to project schedule and budget
  • producing in-process (quarterly) and close-out CRO performance appraisals, soliciting input from Novartis team members and providing input to upper level management of the CRO

    Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in running international clinical trials
  • Familiarity with the CRO market
  • Understanding of contracts (including basic legal understanding of terms & conditions)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills/diplomacy
  • Willingness to take responsibility/decision maker
  • Good team player
  • Strong negotiation skills/diplomacy
  • Experience with intercultural teams
  • Fluent spoken and written English (other languages an advantage)
