Description
Experience:You will have a degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or scientific discipline or have equivalent experience with 5 years+ in the design and implementation of embedded hardware and its associated software. We will expect you to have a solid understanding of software design and integration ideally in the field of electro-mechanical or vision based products. You will be able to work from a loose initial product specification and take this to define the relevant embedded hardware requirement. You will be able to demonstrate at interview that you have successfully taken products through from concept to completion and had a major hand in this process. Responsibilities:
The right candidate will be given a high level of responsibility from very early on to help define the architecture of new sensors and products. You will have responsibility for embedded hardware and software specification, design and implementation and the ability to write clear functional test specifications for your work. It is essential that you are able to write high quality robust code in a clear structured manner which can be readily tested and maintained.
Must have strong experience in:
o C/C++ for embedded applications
o Embedded digital and 16/32 bit microcontroller design
Experience in any of the following will be advantageous:
o TI OMAP family design
o TI CCS development
o DSP and/or FPGA design
o Multi-threading, comms, etc
o Algorithm development
o Altium CAD
o Matlab / Simulink
o Sensor systems
