Infrastructure & Configuration Release Manager

Responsible for creating, organising and managing activities for building and maintaining software releases for their promotion through application/system environments from development through to production. Manages the integrity, reliability and reproducibility of the build process for multi-tiered applications and systems.
Determines project environment requirements, configuration and co-ordinates integrated multi project releases
Responsible for managing multidiscipline configuration teams on/off shore in a Matrix management organization, as well as direct reports and determines the required skill sets, schedule and resource requirements needed to implement releases at all SDLC stages.
Provides expert technical support to project team developers and test analysts in executing and managing test processes and establishing the environments used to conduct testing of final deliverables.
Responsible for all activities related to software products (new installation and upgrade releases) meeting quality standards and performance objectives set by the organisation Property Casualty Data Management/Enterprise Data Management infrastructure application/systems performance SLA's.
Interface and coordinate release management tasks with internal and external resources. Collaborates with the organisation PC DM Project Management teams to provision estimates, develop overall implementation plan, and serve lead as required, to implement installation, customization, and integration efforts.
Methodical technical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of the impact to system/application functions and processes on the release of new/upgrade software/hardware. The definition of configuration and release management requirements for improving any aspect of the interim/target state release process and quantification of same. The creation of viable compliant configuration and release management specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation for the construction of information and communication systems.
Provide input definition and management of the process for deploying and integrating IT capabilities into the business in a way that is sensitive to and fully compatible with business as usual operations.
Provides configuration and release SME input to technical governance of all AIG PC DM solutions that crosses multiple technologies and development teams.
Responsible for the production of SDLC artefacts relating to configuration and release management and adhering to the organisation compliance and audit standards.

Minimum Experience:
Ten years insurance/financial services operations, customer, data and or technology experience
Five years expert experience in change management/implementation and planning.
Three years experience as a lead Release and Configuration manager with responsibility in complex integrated systems environment, multiple technologies utilising on/off shore teams providing expert knowledge in release and configuration process, standards and guidelines.
Five Years experience with automated configuration management/code management systems such as Endeavor, PVCS, CVS, ClearCase or Visual SourceSafe
Five years experience utilising IBM Infosphere information server suite (IIS), DB2, SOA, IBM Enterprise Service Bus, Web, web 2.0,J2EE/.NET, WebSphere Application Server, XML
Strong technical background in information technology management
Strong process knowledge of System Development Life Cycles
Demonstratable experience with program languages and program scripts such as SQL, HTML, SQL Server, C++, Visual Basic, Microsoft Active Server Pages
Strong knowledge of testing and defect tracking tools such as HP Quality Center; and excellent presentation and communication skills.
Excellent track record of configuration and release management delivery
Exposure to principles of data management, master data management, data quality and associated tools.

Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, science, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and work experience).
