Job Summary:
The Security and Surveillance Infrastructure Technology Technician will implement, and administer Physical Access Control and Video Surveillance components across the System. The position will perform daily functions required to maintain the systems, working with critical and sensitive information on a daily basis. This position will be responsible for managing incident and request tickets and working with other support organizations to provide service to internal customers and facilities nationwide.

Key Activities Include:

Install, upgrade, maintain, configure, program and maintain applications not supported by General Computing Services (GCS). Provide Tier 2 support and act as escalation point for the System Service Desk.

Diagnose and resolve incidents, and document actions taken in the Remedy incident management system.

Monitor and respond appropriately to alerts and escalate issues as needed.

Configure and maintain local hardware associated with supported systems, in support of local IT, (FRIT), GCS, and the Board of Governors.

Plan and implement technical change requests using the Remedy incident management system. Participate in local change management meetings. Schedule system downtime for upgrades or take equipment offline for service.

Develop and document technical procedures and processes.

Implement necessary patches, hotfixes, service packs, cumulative updates, and upgrades to meet security compliance and application and system integrity.

Maintain scripts used for reporting, monitoring and analysis. Regularly monitor and prepare reports for systems integrity through reporting and analysis.

Act as security systems consultant and knowledge provider to areas of the bank impacted by repairs, restacking, or new/closing facilities.

Maintain processes and documentation related to contingency operations, including isolation testing.

Ensure application availability by monitoring hardware and software capacity.

Maintain and utilize test environment.

Add, delete or change privileges for users in various applications and systems. Investigate and resolve user access issues.

Desired Skills & Experience:

B.A., B.S. or other baccalaureate/undergraduate degree with major or specialized courses in: Computer Science or related field of study with demonstrated experience, and five years†experience or equivalent experience.

ITILv3 Foundations Certification

Basic knowledge of

o Database systems, such as, SQL,

o Scripting products, such as Bash scripts, Visual Basic Scripting, DOS scripts, SQL scripts and PowerShell

o Incident ticketing systems, such as the Remedy incident management system

o Microsoft Office products

o Computer components, such as Storage Area Network, Servers and personal computers.

o Communication protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and WINS.

o Microsoft Group Policy

o File/share permissions

o Backup/recovery methods

o Basic electrical diagnostic tools and hand tools such as multi-meters, toners and punch-down tools.

o Operating systems, such as Microsoft, Linux, UNIX.

o Access control systems, such as GE Picture Perfect, Facility Commander. Software House C-Cure/Andover Continuum preferred.

o Surveillance equipment, including cameras, Digital Video Recorders, Network Video Recorders, Card Readers, Motion detectors and intrusion alarms is preferred

Advanced knowledge of:

o How to use work aids, such as blue prints, schematics, and wiring, topology and rack elevation diagrams.

Proven ability to work with formal Enterprise standards such as NIST, FISMA, COSO/Sarbanes Oxley, Security specifications, PIV standards and EIA/TIA.

A mix of the following certifications is preferred:

o Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certification

o GE Access System Certification

o L3-Communicaiton Certification

o VMware Certified Professional

o CompTIA Server+

o Comp TIA Network+

o Comp TIA A+

o Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification

o Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) Certification

o Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT)

o Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching certification

o Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

Desirable certifications are Software House C-Cure 9000 certification, and/or NICE Vision 2.5.
