Operations Director - £700- £900 Per Day - 6 months Contract -Central London

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations director to join a globally growing media company. You will be based inLondonon an initial 6 month contract. As the operation director you will be able detailed, analytical and extremely organised.

The Operations director will be a great communicator and be able to autonomously with out regular supervision. You will have a genuine interest in technology and be able to manage senior level stakeholders.
Purpose of the role:
  • Accountable for improving operational performance and initiatives geared towards Operational Excellence
  • Drive improved operational efficiency across the whole of the companies
  • Implement new programmes of strategic change with the target of improving company profitability
  • Lead the company's technology strategy and lead all aspects of the company's technology development


Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems and processes designed to facilitate the growth objectives of the companies, including management of all internal platforms
  • Accountability for the successful delivery of all technology and operations programmes such as SIEMENS TeamCenter; FloorPlanning; SalesForce and MIP Improvement
  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external
  • Establish key performance indicators for management of the operations of the companies
  • Provide accurate financial information for the budgeting process
  • Oversee risk management and business continuity management
  • Working with the companies IT , ensure the on-going maintenance and updating of information systems including all business applications
  • Review of all systems and identify new programmes as needs emerge
  • Implement and lead a continuous quality improvement process focussing on systems/process improvement

IT Experience:
  • Previously held role or responsibility for operations management; IT strategy; IT management; project or programme management
  • Demonstrable project delivery experience
  • PRINCE II qualified would be ideal
  • Lean / Six Sigma preferable
  • Strong operational experience, ideally has worked in a senior management role for 5+years
  • Excellent people skills
  • Flexible and able to multi-task; can work with an ambiguous, fast-moving environment while also driving toward clarity and solutions, demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities
  • Proven track record of achieving results
  • Evidence of the ability to make consistently good decisions
  • Ability to balance deliver of programmes against the realities of a budget
