DescriptionThe Field De-Commission Technician will handle the removal of racks/cabinets, optical and Router equipment, or modifications of existing installed equipment. The Technician will conform to company standards following MOPS and within defined process and procedures. Will be working in both indoor and outdoor environments, and safety equipment may be required to perform tasks.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Backgrounds with detailed Engineering, Documentation, Infrastructure, Process Improvement, MOPS.
Experience with installation/removal of mini-BDFB, Rectifiers, Fuse Panels, Patch Panels (high density fiber patch panels).
Experience with the installation/removal of racks, cabinets on raised floors, slap floors.
Experience with removal of DC power cable from BDFB's, Mini-BDFB's and all related safety procedures.
Knowledge of ESD guidelines.
Experience with de-commissioning/installation of infinera, NSN, Alcatel/Lucent, Adva, Juniper Routers.
SKILLS:
Associates Degree in Telecommunications or equivalent work experience; 2 years of related de-commissioning/installation of optical and Routers; Some background in shipping, receiving, inventory tracking required; Good communication skills; Proficient with laptop and windows applications; Background with DC Power, AC Power, Rectifiers/Inverters.
Skills
Ability to read and understand engineering provided drawings and wire list. Good interpersonal, team and customer service skills. Ability to use label maker. Able to identify and correct problems as they arise. Good time management and organizational skills.
