My client is a young and innovative company in mobile telecommunications. They operate their own mobile core network combined with an IT infrastructure and are connected with the Vodafone antennas throughout the world. They help companies and brands to launch their own mobile services. They offer 'MVNOs' (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) innovative mobile solutions.
At the moment they have 70 people in three countries and they operate 14 MVNOs, including smart mobile brands. This company has been very successful over the last couple of years and they are still expanding. This is why they are looking for Infrastructure Architects.
The job
In the IT Department they use the full suite of Microsoft .NET Technologies with SQL Server 2008 Databases and Windows Servers (Windows Enterprise 2008 R2). Servers are hosted within our Private Cloud with VMware and SAN, Physical Servers (using Neverfail for high availability), and Amazon EC2 Infrastructure for our portals and web services.
There is a need for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to take the company to the next level within Cloud. You will join the IT Ops Infrastructure Team (currently 4 in total) in their offices in Nieuwegein. They have a flat structure in the office with a friendly, relaxed, but professional environment with the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the business including architecture and infrastructure decisions. Our team uses Agile methods like Scrum (for Development) and Kanban (for Operations), or ScrumBan (a mix of both) and is very international with people from Netherlands, South African, Ukraine, Belarus, Italy, India, Portugal, and Poland. English is the common language that is used in the office.

The candidate
We require a Senior Infrastructure Architect with a minimum of 7 years real business experience and excellent communication skills and real business experience in the following:
*Disaster Recovery Planning, High Availability, and expert in Security best practices
*Experience setting up and maintaining Domain Controller and strong Active Directory skills
*Setup and maintaining Server infrastructure, deploy and install patches, on Physical, VMware, and Amazon EC2
*Network monitoring and monitoring users over the Network
*Installing RAID configurations and expansion cages for Servers
*Use of PRTG, or similar, for monitoring Servers to proactively manage alerts and warnings
*VCP with solid experience working with VMware and HP SANs
*Virtualization is heavily used at the company so the candidate must have strong work experience with VMWare, Vcenter, VDirector is a plus, with automatic failovers
*Amazon Certified Professional - or infrastructure courses in this area - are a big plus
*Must be an Agile thinker with experience in Agile methods like Scrum and Kanban
*A great team personality and transparency of all tasks is a must
You must have recent Certifications in this field and/or a recognized Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Business Informatics.

Primary and secondary benefits:

6 month contract is offered first with 1 month probation. After this a 1 year contract is offered which will follow a permanent position if successful.
