COMPLIANCE MANAGER - GENEVA AREA - FINANCIAL INDUSTRY

The EMPLOYER

Our client is an international brokerage firm having strong and long lasting results for over the last past years.

In order to support the development and diversification of the Swiss entity, the Swiss office is today looking for a Compliance Manager who will be responsible for setting up and designing the compliance framework.

In direct report to the Head of Compliance based inUK, you will be in charge of all Swiss compliance activities within the firm while also being in direct contact with FINMA.

The ROLE

You will be working closely with the local country director, the front office and you will have a key role within the Swiss office, your main duties will be:
  • Design the internal compliance program with regards to AML, KYC and controls
  • Maintain a relationship with FINMA and draft and write all new policies and guidelines
  • Train, advise and assist the business on all compliance topics and their responsibilities to legal and regulatory compliance
  • Provide recommendations (and warning if needed) to the business while escalating any suspicious transactions or breaches to senior management
  • Reporting and Responding to regulatory bodies
  • On-boarding of all new clients and performing KYC due diligence
  • Ad-hoc Compliance projects


The REQUESTED profile

We are looking for a candidate having the following skills and expertise:
  • Degree in Law, Business, Economics, Finance or equivalent
  • Min. 5-8 years of relevant experience in compliance - ideally within a similar structure (brokerage firm)
  • A strong interest in compliance and financial products
  • Ability to write and set up compliance frameworks
  • Swiss Experience and dealings with FINMA
  • Fluent (native or similar) French and English
  • Analytical skills with strong ability to work under pressure and ability to prioritise your own activities
  • EU or Swiss passport/permit
