Description
Senior Java Developer
We seek a Senior Java developer to work on a major project for a marquee company in the Cumberland Mall area. You will work on a team of developers for this project, and will also work closely with technical leads and application architects to design and implement highly scalable APIs in conjunction with large data sets. You will be developing an application that will have sub second response times. You will be involved in the development of ingestion and access APIs on a NoSQL/RDBMS platform. You will build data push services using AMQP (Advance Message Queuing Protocol) that will, on peak times, have serviced over 250,000,000 requests in a 24 hour period.
We seek someone with experience building multi-tier, scalable, Server Side applications and a good understanding of web services protocols (REST) and architectures. This is a 6 months+ contract position with the possibility to convert to a permanent position. This company offers flexible work hours and a casual dress code.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of prior hands-on experience developing software applications using Java technologies.
- Java 7, JAX-RS, Jersey 1.17, XML, JSON, Atom, JAXB, GSON, Groovy, Spring Data, cURL, Advanced Rest Client, Apache Jmeter.
- Tomcat 7 appserver
- Eclipse JUNO
- Maven and Gradle build systems
- GIT, Gitty, EGit version controls
- RabbitMQ 3.0.4 messaging Middleware
- Riak/Redis/Hadoop/MongoDBGood understanding of web security (OAUTH)
- Prior work experience with cashing technologies (Akamai and/or Memcache)
