Position Title: Network Specialist(s)
Initial engagements with excellent extension potential. Immediate starts
Our Client has a requirement for a number of network specialists in the following specific areas:
Network Monitoring
F5 load balancing
Cisco Design and implementation
Network Monitoring:
Document the current state of network monitoring and management tools, from a people, process and technology perspective.
Produce a capability/gap assessment of the existing landscape detailing the purpose, role and currency of the technologies in play.
Produce a NWM&M road map
Lead the planning and implementation of the expanded integrated network management service offering
F5 load balancing:
Perform a review of our Clients Load balancers (Alteon, F5 Big IP & Legacy Viprion).
Work with the data centre migration team to plan and migrate Legacy applications and services to the new consolidated load-balancing environment on the new F5 Viprions.
Cisco Design and Implementation:
Assist with the planning and implementation of new/expanded network service offerings, primarily dealing with Cisco technologies
Our Client has various small scale projects and initiatives that require a resource with Cisco routing/switching skills to gather requirements, translate these into designs and then plan and implement the solution.
The resource will be responsible for the design and development of small scale network services and will provide technical solutions relating to networking components in multi-discipline service development initiatives.
The resource will be expected to work with Senior/Domain Architects, solution designers and other teams to design, develop and implement quality solution to ensure consistent, repeatable and optimal deployment and Operation of services within the ITS portfolio.
Our Client infrastructure is large and complex and encompasses data, voice, video and multicast services to a variety of affiliate organisations across Melbourne and nationally.
