A global pharmaceutical organisation currently requires an Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineer to join their team. The purpose of the role is to provide support to the project and work with the external design engineers, along with the User team to provide clear design deliverables for construction.

You will be working in conjunction with the Project Manager who has overall responsibility for an integrated design and will be responsible to execute and support the front-end design for the debottlenecking projects.

The Role:
•Responsibility for the delivery of a coordinated and agreed Detailed Design.
•Reviews the Electrical and Instrumentation design documents for quality and consistency prior to publication and overview the review of design documents for other disciplines
•Execute field surveys
•Supports the project engineers in the design and preparation of procurement packages for the shutdown 2014.
•Executes FAT’s on electrical systems and software packages
•Overall responsibility for the timely delivery of the issue for construction design deliverables and equipment automation procurement specifications.
•Supports to implement an agreed Construction and C&Q strategy and supports the commissioning and qualification activities
•Follows up on progress, quality and safety of the E/I works during construction, commissioning and qualification
•Direct issues relative to discipline priorities and discipline performance
•Critiquing and improving the project design process
•Participates in the relevant design reviews, such as HAZOP, cGMP Compliance, EHS, etc. and any other design verifications processes.

Knowledge/experience Required:
•Degree in Electrical Engineering
•Competent technical knowledge of API pharmaceutical plants and processes
•Proven experience in engineering for large capital investment projects
•Experience with Local German Codes for electrical (ATEX) systems (NO MUST)
•Knowledge of validation guidelines and practices
•Being able to coordinate and resolve conflicts in design and execution between team discipline leads and suppliers, contractors, etc.
•Knowledge of cGMP requirements
•"can do" attitude and a self-starter
•Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines whilst preserving a high level of accuracy and quality
•Ability to quickly familiarise with the facilities, (shutdown) scope and key personnel
•Good attention to detail and accuracy - good analytical skills
