Description
Performs financial reporting, analysis, and related activities for multiple legal entities within the Capital Markets sector. Utilizes industry specific reporting principles and techniques and develops financial reports through use of Excel. A self starter with the ability to understand complex business initiatives and has the ability to provide analysis around the results with minimal assistance.* A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business related field
* Strongly desire CPA or candidate pursuing CPA certification
* Working knowledge of GAAP with 2-3 years of financial analysis experience in a medium to large organization
* Knowledge of business desktop applications (MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) *Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts, and graphs)
* Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
* Work with the Controller to ensure a clean and timely year end audit of multiple entities *Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements
* Excellent analytical and self-motivational skills
* Assist with inquiries from the CFO, Controller, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like
* Strong attention to detail
* Experience with Broker-Dealers and/or Future Commodity Merchants
* 2+ years demonstrated progression in financial reporting and analysis and accounting
Experience in financial reporting and analysis includes preparation of financial statements including footnotes, financial statements analysis, financial reports for senior management, and coordination of audits with external and internal auditors
