For our Air Traffic Management R&D client in Paris we are looking for a System Engineer to participate in the verification and demonstration activities of an ATM R&D project. This is a long term contract (1 year+) and is due to start at the beginning of next year.

The Contractor Personnel must have a substantial background/experience in:

  • System Engineering: large and distributed systems integration and validation
  • IT System Architecture
  • Net-centric Architecture
  • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Software development in JAVA
  • Application Servers
  • Web Services technology
  • Developing XML Schemas

Some experience in:

  • Air Traffic Management, Airline, Airport, Military operations
  • Data Distribution Services
  • UML Modelling and Model Driven development
  • Enterprise Architecture modelling tool
  • Working in a standards-driven environment, including experience with ISO, OMG, OGC, W3C and OASIS standards

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining  SWIM Verification Platform (VP)
  • Upgrading the SWIM-VP in line with the yearly SWIM Technical Infrastructure
  • Producing and executing verification scenario files
  • Migrating Data Distribution Service(DDS) and Web Services (WS) technology stacks to an Application Server
  • Producing a new verification platform
