Software Developer - Tableau
Our Client are looking for a software engineer with expertise in working with Tableau Server with large data volumes.

Main Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for developing new software components
- Participate in the design of our new software platform
- Implement, test, and bug-fix functionality Produce reasonable estimates for tasks
- Deploy and provide support to the latest releases of software
- Prepare documentation that defines and prioritizes end-user requirements
- Have end-user interaction from user level to first-line management level
- Be able to anticipate issues and resolve data problems
- Install and configure Tableau Professional and Tableau Server.
- Design and develop Tableau software engineering solutions for dashboards, scorecards, scheduled reports, ad hoc queries, and decision support

Experience:
Minimum of 3/4 years of relevant industry experience
Third level degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent
Experience with Tableau Server with large volumes of data
Experience with software product development processes
Experience with distributed version control systems (Mercurial/Git)
Required Skills:
Tableau Server with large data volumes:
o Setting up Tableau data sources, filters, blending, joins, etc for optimum performance
o Trouble-shooting issues
Proficient in Java
Knowledge of MySQL or other relational database and of SQL
Knowledge of Unit Testing/Test Automation
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Desirable but not essential:
Knowledge of Ruby or Python
Web Development including JSPs and Tomcat
