Basic MSI packaging with Wise Package Studio and Orca
Local and server installation of Wise Package Studio
Create and customize an exclusion list
Setup capture and setup capture configuration
Using Wise Package Studio in installation expert , MSI Script and Setup Editor modes
Windows Installer structure: Relational database - Features - Components - Tables - Properties
Merge Modules: creating and applying
Transform files (MST) Creating and using transforms. Using Install tailor
Advertising, repair and reinstall functions
Define and use variables. Hard coded values in MSI's
Editing and changing an MSI file with ORCA
Validation with ORCA.
Errors handling with Windows Installer SDK. Fixing validation errors
Analyse the Windows installer logfiles
Using Wise Script Editor
Basic App-V packaging
Create and customize an App-V package with the App-V SequencerAdvanced MSI packaging with Wise Package Studio and Orca
Repackaging complex applications and solving table and component issues
Using System Search
ODBC, Services and Drivers installation
Define Environment entries
Updating and Patching MSI Files (small, minor, major Updates)
Creating and using Custom Actions
Launch conditions: executing actions with conditions
About Windows security and lock-down. Setting file, registry key, and folder permissions
