For a major international client in Lausanne, we are looking for a Front End Web Developer
You will take charge of creating and updating HTML/XML/CSS/Javascript, based on business specifications (wireframes) or bug reporting. You will then communicate the new or updated content to be integrated by the client's Java developers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents
- Investigate, analyse and document reported defects
- Perform coding to written technical specifications
- Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects
- Deliver packages for integration by the development team
- Ensure the quality of the display for all supported browsers
- Create, document, implement and execute unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses
- Create and maintain technical documentation
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- 2- 3 years' experience as a front web developer
- 2- 3 years' experience as an Internet, eC ommerce or mobile application developer
- Strong Experience in HTML/XML/CSS/JavaScript and integration of heterogeneous environments and related concepts
- Good experience with MVC framework
- Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents
- Experience of ergonomy, user experience and accessibility
- Proven experience in web technology (referencing, performance)
- Experience with jquery and other js librairies (ie jquery-ui, angular etc.)
- Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues
- Fluent French and English

This is a contract position with an international client for 6 months in the first instance, but with long-term potential. The client is located on Lake Geneva, in Lausanne. Info-Tech will provide advice and support through your relocation if you are working in Switzerland for the first time.
